About this list
Sunday is a good day for chess in Warsaw. In the morning Fontis café and bistro on ul. Kondratowicza in Targówek holds a booked café tournament for parents and children. At 11:00 the Saska Kępa rapid series starts at Klubokawiarnia Towarzyska on ul. Zwycięzców, a FIDE-rated tournament for all comers that takes entries through ChessManager and has a long run of numbered editions behind it.
In the late afternoon and evening an open meeting on ul. Mazowiecka 12 in Śródmieście brings together beginners and experienced tournament players, free and open to all comers. Together they fill most of a Sunday, from a family game in the morning to a rated rapid around midday and a relaxed board at the end of the day.
