About this list
A game in Warsaw is easiest to find in a café or at a tournament. A café tournament platform runs weekly sessions in cafés in Wola, Mokotów, Śródmieście, Targówek and Białołęka, Klubokawiarnia Towarzyska on Saska Kępa hosts a Sunday rapid with a FIDE rating, and Kawiarnia Przystań on Bulwar Flotylli Pińskiej opens its tables to chess on Saturday afternoons in the colder months. On Sundays an open meeting for players of every level takes place on ul. Mazowiecka in Śródmieście.
The tournament halls are spread over the city: the YMCA on ul. Konopnickiej, the SGH library reading room on ul. Rakowiecka, a bridge club on al. Niepodległości, a public library reading room on Bródno and the Gocław culture terminal. Caissa plays on ul. Domaniewska and Twierdza Mokotów on ul. Powsińska, and Otwock, Marki and Grodzisk Mazowiecki add rooms of their own. Skaryszewski Park was given chess tables through the citizens’ budget of 2020.
