Rapid tournaments in and around Warsaw 24

Rapid is the format of Warsaw’s team events. The Business Chess League SGH plays its rounds on Saturdays in the reading room of the SGH library on ul. Rakowiecka, with company and institution teams beside individual players, in a spring and an autumn season. The Mazovia team rapid championships are played in spring, most recently at primary school No. 368 on ul. Mariana Hemara, and the Mini League gathers teams of children each June.

The Warsaw Youth Olympiad has rapid and classical sections and closes with club standings. In October the Brustman Memorial is played in Wawer, and the Family Otwock Autumn Chess Festival invites families to play in groups. The Chess Connects Generations series brought players of different ages together at the CLX high school on ul. Siemieńskiego. The weekly rapid evenings of the Hetman club, the Sunday series on Saska Kępa and the rapid groups of the mall series at Promenada and Targówek belong here too.
